December 7 - 8, 2005 First Annual PCMM Festival

Special thanks to Lux Coffee Bar for providing complimentary coffee for everyone at the festival both days.

Day 1

The first day of the two-day PCMM Festival opened on a chilly Wednesday night with an extended set of free improvisations by Jiggle.  Performing original compositions by bassist and founder, Ted Sistrunk, the arrangements focused on group improvisation with a tendency toward freer playing.  Jiggle is Scott Zimmer on alto saxophone, Mary Petrich on tenor sax, Ted Sistrunk on bass, and Rob Moore on drums.

Chicago based drummer (and Phoenix native) Frank Rosaly followed with original solo improvised drumming using electronic effects to achieve a structured anti-structure musical collage with elements of drone, electronic percussion and loop effects.

The evening closed with modern and original compositions containing elements of free jazz and breakbeats by Trio Oro.  Trio Oro is Jacob Koller on keys, Andrew Jones on pedals and bass, and Rob Moore.
